The most common solution is to pour boiling water down the drain in the sink, and if that does not work a combination of baking soda and then vinegar. Often, households that encounter this type of problem are due to old plumbing system components throughout the house and less often but potentially a result of accumulated sediments, or works a cracked or burst pipe.
8. Leaking pipes
A leaking or burst pipe could be considered one of the scariest problems any homeowner could encounter. A leaking pipe might not seem like a huge problem nothing that a bucket and a mop can’t solve, but a burst pipe is another story. Gallons of water pouring out every second in a bucket might work, perhaps for the first 30 seconds before it starts overflowing.

10 .Frozen pipes
Perhaps not a plumbing problem that wouldn’t make it in a top 10 list of plumbing problems in other countries that are warmer year-round and never dropped under 0 degrees Celsius. Unluckily, Canada isn’t one of those tropical countries, and with-it frozen pipes make it to this list.
An interesting fact, to begin with, water is one of only a few liquids that expands approximately 9% by volume when it is frozen. Now imagine those outdoor pipes that you forgot to shut off the exterior valve when winter began, starting to expand will break. No doubt about it, you MUST call a plumber right away!
